Tasmanian Artist Sandi Heilbronn aka Wild Mama Kin
Hi! My name is Sandi and I am an artist living in Southern Tasmania with my four kids.
I am the kind of artist whose specialty lies across many different mediums and expressions, from pencil and paper, resin, textiles and now tattooing.
Through my art, i hope to express how important creativity is, especially in the depths of motherhood where it’s easy to lose your sense of self. Raising my children has taught me how to tap into my own creativity and it’s very important to me to create an environment where my children can do the same.
We’re all a little bit weird here and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
A lot of my art focuses on motherhood and womanhood, as my children grow and develop, I’m discovering so does my artistic expression.
Botanical and mycological themes feature prominently in my work, nature is the original mother.
In the coming years I hope to really dig into creating original artworks and furthering my career as a tattoo artist.
